Don't believe this morning's internet reports that Killers frontman Brandon Flowers is going out on his own.

"It’s not true," their publicist tells SPIN.com. "He has no plans to go solo. The band are very much still promoting [recent album] Day & Age. They’ve got tour dates in Asia, Australia, Japan, etc. into 2010."

What's more, new material continues to surface from the Killers camp. Earlier this week, the band released a special Christmas single to benefit AIDS charity (RED). Bonus: its accompanying video just happens to feature 90210's Luke Perry.

There's a covers album in the works, too. "We're thinking about covering Steely Dan, Rod Stewart, Lou Reed," drummer Ronnie Vannucci told SPIN.com last month. "It's all over the place."

The Killers play in South Africa tonight and Sunday before wrapping their 2009 touring schedule in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday (Dec. 8).

I seriously couldn't breathe when I thought that he was going solo. Words couldn't express the relief I felt when I found out that he wasn't. I've got to see then live at least once in my life.

This stemmed from an interview in which the interviewer specifically asked Brandon if he would ever consider doing some solo stuff. He said he'd considered it but even if he does some solo stuff, that doesn't mean the band would break up. >_< PEOPLE.
