Hayley Williams on Eminem Collabo: "Incredible"
News
To call this collaboration "unlikely" would be one hell of an understatement.
Hayley Williams, the 21-year-old girly-girl singer for Tennessee's Paramore, will appear on the same song with oft-sadistic Detroit rapper Eminem. The person responsible for uniting the odd couple: buzzworthy Atlanta rapper B.o.B, who recruited 'em both for "Airplanes (Part II)," a track off his upcoming debut album The Adventures of Bobby Ray (out April 27).
"I was given the track a while ago while we were on tour," Williams told MTV News of the collaboration. "The guys and I all loved it. They told me I was crazy if I passed it up. I liked the part too much anyways, so of course I was down."
While she and Eminem never actually set foot in the studio together, Williams gushed about the chance to share billing with Slim Shady. "I only found out about Eminem getting on the track like a month ago. As if the song couldn't get any better. He just slays me, he's such a genius," she said.
In fact, Hayley loves her hip-hop. "Whether our fans know or not, I'm not sure, but [Paramore bassist] Jeremy [Davis] and I have always been really into hip-hop," she said. "I'm a big B.o.B fan. Got everything of his that I've been able to get my hands on... It means a lot that I got to collaborate with a hip-hop artist who is from Atlanta. We Southern gals love us some Southern gentlemen."
Williams appears on two tracks on the album: "Airplanes," and an album-closing reprise featuring Em, called "Airplanes (Part II)." "Both versions of the track are incredible, that's all I'll say," she added. "I'm so proud to be a part of this!"
The Em/Hayley Williams union isn't the only peculiar collabo on the album. In addition to rappers like T.I. and Lupe Fiasco, Weezer's Rivers Cuomo also makes an appearance.

All the people that are dissing Hayley about how much she "sucks", I want to ask if you have even heard her sing? She has a phenomenal voice, and whether or not you like Paramore or that genre of music you can not deny that she has a great tone and killer pitch. She's a great performer and a hard working gal. She deserves this great opportunity...I think she sounds great on the track and am pleasantly surprised at the decision to use her. I think she should collaborate more with other artists. It's not selling out, she's a singer, she should sing. She is still doing things with Paramore, but that will probably come to an end one day and then what is she supposed to do...just not sing anymore? She's way better than Gwen Stefani, who I do think "sold out" after No Doubt, but the thing is Gwen wrote really simple and catchy songs, some of them I find stupid. Hayley doesn't seem like the type to leave a band to go write dance songs....I hope. Gwen was an artist in No Doubt, and now she is a business woman. Hayley will always be an artist.

First, Hayley Williams is not a child. Her band is not "childish". Why do you say its childish? Because it's not apart of the rap music industry? There are other genres out there. Rap does not consume the earth.
Second, Paramore is not strictly a band of 13 year olds. It's a band, that can be and is listened by ages. And Hayley Williams has BEEN in the music industry. Paramore has been around for years. Look it up. They just didn't get everything handed to them like a lot of artists have. (Not saying Eminem did either.) They worked their asses off to get where they are. And they're doing perfectly fine.
Third, I love how you name someone childish, yet you're the one posting insults to someone you don't know, just because you aren't into their music. What happened to respect these days?
Fourth, I happen to be a fan of both Eminem and Paramore. And I'm not 13, dearest. I am nineteen years old. <- Adult, if you weren't aware of that.

Excuse me?! If she really sucked so bad, I'm sure they wouldn't have bothered to collaborate with her. She was given the opportunity to do something a little different from her usual genre and she took the chance. You could at least be respectful about that. Don't be such douchebags about it.

I can't believe Hayley even teamed up with this little faggot. He just talks all tough and ****, I would knock his teeth down his little skinny throat. B.O.B just used Hayley to sell his song, they're lucky she even helped them. (c)rap music is a sinking ship anyway, I can't wait for Rock and Metal to take it's rightful place at the top.
